Scott Jacobs artwork
Scott Jacobs is a world-renowned photorealistic artist. He paints in a style that resembles photography in its meticulous attention to realistic detail. Depending on their size, Scott's paintings can take more than a hundred hours to complete, much of it with a brush that is so small, it is like using a pencil point. In this way, he renders the tiny details that make his paintings almost indistinguishable from photographs. As the first licensed Harley-Davidson artist, he is probably best known for his artwork of motorcycles, but in recent years Scott has begun to paint a number of wine-related pieces. I began working with Scott late in 2006, allowing him to transform some of my existing stock of photographs into paintings and working in collaboration with him to compose new photographs that he could use as “photo research” — basically photographs that he models his paintings on, making artistic improvements on the limitations of what can be created with a camera. Below are Scott Jacobs’ paintings that are based on my photographs. You can purchase the limited edition signed giclee canvas prints, framed or unframed, on my site.
